Art for Puerto Rico

As a native New Yorker, my ties to Puerto Rico are very near dear to my heart. Several of the women in my life after my mother passed away were all natives of this beautiful island. This summer, I lost the one woman who practically raised me. She taught me how to cook authentic Puerto Rican food. She was very close to my mother. She watched over my dad when I moved away. She was indeed my second mom.

September 19. Hurricane Maria, ravished the entire Caribbean coast, including PR. Electricity was already a problem due to infrastructure issues as well as due to the previous storm Irma.

I want to help the best way I can. That is with my art. Two organizations I have been observing that have been doing work since day one have been, Puerto Rico Relief Flight and United for Puerto Rico.

This is a non-profit used for fundraising reconstruction of Puerto Rico's Infrastructure. The non-profit was created for Puerto Rico as an initiative brought forth by the First lady of Puerto Rico, Beatriz Rosselló

Based out of Palm Beach County this is a grassroots effort to airlift supplies to the people of Puerto Rico after the devastation of Hurricane Maria. We are asking for donations. They have already made three trips to the island delivering food, water, feminine hygiene products, toiletries etc.

Normally I would just write a check. However due to Hurricane Irma hitting us a week prior, I too lost work. Moreover, funds are scarce. However, there is a way to help. I am an artist. I decided to help in that way. If you purchase any of the pieces on this page, 50% of the proceeds will go to either one of these charities. Immediately.
