Rant

Often times I have to put on an act to make others comfortable. And I will say it isn't fun. I really feel like people do not think before they speak. Statements that start:
A) The next time you feel depressed... DON'T...
B)  You really ought to...
C) You better...
D) Why don't You...
E) Keep that to yourself because people don't like when you.....
Yes those statements are insensitive.

OMG folks!!! We are human! We are not robots. We don't like being depressed. We don't like being used. We don't like having to worry about where our next mortgage payment is coming from. We don't like to repeat ourselves over and over again because individuals choose to not listen. Why can't others for once in a while not impose unsolicited advice to me? Why can't folks understand that people do get depressed not to make them uncomfortable? Why can't people just respect my wishes & listen, not just talk. We do not enjoy having to defend ourselves because an individual chooses to give  unsolicited advice. Why can't people be on time when we agree on a time for...ANYTHING .  Our time is important too.

Respect my time & boundaries please. Thank you.

Meeting Cory

This is was definitely worth waiting for my food. It's not about politics for me. This man sincerely cares about his City Of Newark and his state of NJ. 

There aren't too many individuals who aren't close friends or family that I will go out of my way to see. Let alone in politics. In fact after Prince's death, the list got much smaller. But this gentleman is a class act. He doesn't serve my city or my state. But he visiting my little neighborhood in Northwood, it was worth having breakfast with a crowd of people just to meet him in person.
